Unfortunately, our very limited funds only provide enough funding for one engineer and we must fit all NeoOffice software development, bug fixing, and support tasks into our available time. Because the development and bug fixing tasks use up a significant portion of our available time, we can only answer problems posted by our most generous users.
Viewing our site is free so if you have any problems, a list of suggested steps for finding an answer for a problem as fast as possible is available on the

Hi,
I did install the new version.
As far as I have tried, it looks fine, for the question of selectioning the lines and columns in a table.
Thanks,
René

By the way, I found another funny behavior today. In a table (I guess this is the name in English) in Writer, when I try to select a full line (or a full column) the line or the column does not turn dark (to show it is selected). However it is selected, and a change will apply on the whole line or column.
I have reproduced the behavior simply opening a new table on a blank page. (this is the Exemple table file included).
Another user reported that last weekend in
this thread
. I was able to fix it quickly and the fix is included in NeoOffice 3.0.2.
Let us know if the bug is not fixed for you in NeoOffice 3.0.2.

I will go and download the new version.

And by the way also how to insert a tab in a cell of a table ? I did not found anything in the help, and I tried any combinaison of key alt command, ctrl, shift without success.

Another user posted in
this forum topic
that they found a case where my fix for this bug can cause NeoOffice to crash. I have fixed that crashing bug. Can you install the following test patch and verify that the bug is still fixed for you?:

PowerPC:

Sorry, I did not answer sooner (I was abroad).
Yes I did try with the "Nonprinting" button off, and it works fine. The bug effectively appears only when the non printing characters are visible.
Does my second test patch fix the bug when the "Nonprinting Characters" menu is checked? While I was waiting for you answer, I fixed the bug and I posted a second test patch in
this post
.

I think that I have fixed the bug that occurs when the View :: Nonprinting Characters menu is checked and your document uses full-width justification. Can you install the following test patch and tell us if the bug is fixed for you?:

Please ignore my post as I think that I can now reproduce it. By selecting the View :: Nonprinting Characters menu, the bug reappears.
I will work on fixing this remaining bug. In the meantime, can you tell us if you have the the View :: Nonprinting Characters checked? If so, does unchecking the menu stop the bug from occurring?

If you move the insertion bar with arrow along this first line you can see that it jump not from one letter to the other, but sometimes stop on the middle of a letter.
I cannot reproduce what you are seeing. When I open your sample document in Mac OS X 10.5.8 and arrow through the first line, the cursor always falls between the characters.
Can you attach a screen snapshot of the text and the document's status bar by making the document the active window, pressing Command-Shift-4, and then dragging the mouse over the text and status bar? This should create a new "Picture*.png" file on your Desktop that you can attach.

Thanks Patrick,
I have installed the patch and tried it.
At first sight it looked much better. But I have found a case where the problem is still present.
I have attached a file with just two lines of text (with the same format as the previous file). Look at the first line. It is left-justified, but you can see that there is a lot of free space in the line (due to the long word at the beginning of the second line).
If you move the insertion bar with arrow along this first line you can see that it jump not from one letter to the other, but sometimes stop on the middle of a letter.
Sorry...
