Hi,

I was about to open Bugzilla issue about this but then thought I should post here first.

I know that there's now a 1x1 pixel 'window' that's created so that the menubar can still display menus even when all windows are closed.

Now I noticed that when I have 2 documents and want to cycle between them quickly, I have to cycle between 3 'documents' using Cmd-` instead of just 2 as I used to (or is my memory incorrect?).

I'm feeling there's really no current way to overcome this has I even have to cycle through NeoOffice toolbar windows if they are displayed.

So I didn't open an issue about this. Just want to know users' and developers' comments regarding this. I didn't see it discussed before in the forums and don't see a bug opened for this. Am I the only one using Cmd-` and everyone else uses Exposé?

Yes when using CMD ` (which I use a lot!) the 1 pixel window is included as are all toolbars. Occasionally it's annoying but when I have only two windows open it's ok and when I have lots of windows open then I do tend to use expose and/or spread the documents around my screens a bit.

Hmm...well I don't think we can get the toolbars out of there for now, but there may be something to do about the other one. If it's your thing, you can also use application-only Expose which should ignore that window (but again, will display the toolbars).

I actually just found it surprising today, since I haven't had to edit 2 or more documents at the same time. The toolbar switching never really bothered me since I can see the toolbar come up front when I switch to them.

I just find Cmd-` faster when editing than Expose as I edit a bit of contracts that I have to copy and paste bits of info between them.

Of course, no demands here. I can get by with the quirk. I'll just put Expose into my workflow for when there are more than 2 documents.

Should there be a Bugzilla ticket opened for this?

Anyway, for those bothered by this, I've opened Bugzilla#3032 as an Enhancement wish. I hope it's possible. Smile

This behavior is new in Patch 2 and is apparently a side effect of my fix for bug 3004. That fix is leaving the 1x1 pixel window open even after a new document window is opened. So, I will need to somehow find a way to detect that and close the 1x1 window.
