In order to run under Apple's next planned release - Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - NeoOffice needs to support Java 1.6. We will be including experimental support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard in NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 3.
However, there is one thing that we would like to check before we release Patch 3: that Mac OS X 10.5.x Leopard users cannot select Java 1.6 (Java 1.6 on Leopard is incompatible with 32-bit applications like NeoOffice).
If you have Mac OS X 10.5.x Leopard, can you test this by installing the following patch, launching NeoOffice, selecting the Tools :: Options menu, selecting the NeoOffice :: Java item in the dialog that appears, and verifying that only Java 1.5.x is listed in the dialog?:
On 10.5.5/Intel, after applying the patch, only Java 1.5.x shows up.
Even better, when I chose the "Add" button and navigated to the Java 1.6 folder, Neo showed an error telling me the Java 1.6 I'd just selected was not an approved version
