Hello,
I hope someone can adivse me. I am running 10.3.7 and when I attempt to install NeoOffice/J 1.1 I get an error saying that I can't install on the selected volume.
This is a new error to me as I have never seen this problem. I have looked within this forum and I don't see this issue for anyone else. I do have BSD installed.
Thanks in advance,
scokor

I don't know, if it fixes your problem, but you could repair your disk permissions with the "Disk Utility" and then try the installation again.

Sad

Thank you for responding so quickly. I had continually attempted to install the 1.1 patch prior to installing the 1.1 product.

Sorry for the trouble. Thanks again.

I'm trying to install patch NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Alpha_2-Patch-3-Aqua-Menus but I can't. I receive an error message: You can't install this software on this volume.
How can you fix this problem?

Just realized-- you're trying to patch 1.1a2? Why not install the beta 1.1?

Hi, I'm trying to install it on NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Beta and I have BSD and I'm under Mac OS 10.3.7.

Just FYI...the "old" patches are symlinked or HTTP redirected to the current patch file in order to ensure that everyone always downloads the most current available patch.

In this case, the most current patch is Neo/J 1.1 Beta-Patch 1, which will only apply against Neo/J 1.1 Beta, not any of the Alphas. So one must download the current release of Neo/J (1.1 Beta in this instance) before attempting to apply any patches.

Waldo, perhaps we need to add an "installing patches" section to the "Installation FAQ" in the wiki?

FYI. Since so many people were trying to download the old Alpha 2 patches which won't work with Beta, I deleted all of the Alpha 2 softlinks yesterday so that people will get the "file not found" page instead of accidentally getting the Beta patch.
