Yesterday, I found that we could easily push our RSS feeds to Twitter so that those of you who prefer Twitter could also get patch and release announcements.
One problem though is that someone has already registered the NeoOffice Twitter account. The account is not used and has "Planamesa Inc." as the owner name so I am hoping that someone setup the account to reserve the name for us.
If you setup the account for us, please contact me by sending me a Private Message and what steps we need to do to log into the account. Of course, someone may also be doing mass Twitter registrations in the hopes of selling the accounts. If that is the case, don't bother sending me a Private Message as we will not pay for a handle name and we will just create a new account.

Twitter also has some sort of arbitration process; I'm not really familiar with it, but since you are the trademark holder and the account is clearly posing as NeoOffice/Planamesa, Inc., I'd expect you'd have a very good shot at getting the current holder shut down and obtaining the name, if someone wasn't just kindly holding it for NeoOffice and you were up for going that route.

Yay! We now have access to the Twitter account. Fortunately, one of our long-time supporters had reserved it for us.
Stupid me. The person who set it up had actually told us about the account but, in my overwhelmed state of the last year or so it obviously did not sink in.
I post again when I have our RSS feeds working properly posting to that account.

I've updated the "how can I get patch notifications" section on the 3.0.1/2.2.6 release notes pages to include the new Twitter option.
