I have a small hard drive with my Mac Mini PPC. I added an external hard drive and have tried to save space on the main hard drive so when I installed NeoOffice I installed it in the Applications directory on my external drive. When I go to install any of the patches 3.1.1 P1 or 3.1.1 P2 the installer says I do not have NeoOffice 3.1.1 on my computer. It would be nice if it would at least prompt me to search for the app. Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot reproduce the behavior that you are seeing. I have several volumes on my Mac machines and most volumes have a separate copy of NeoOffice 3.1.1 installed in their respective /Applications folders. So, when I get to the panel where an icon for each volume is shown, each volume that has a NeoOffice 3.1.1 installation becomes selectable within 15 to 60 seconds.

If you have a large number of files on a volume, it can take a little bit of time for the patch installer to finish search that volume and become selectable. Can you rerun the installer and when you get to that same panel, wait 60 seconds and see if the volume that you know NeoOffice is installed on eventually becomes selectable?

If that volume still does not become selectable, can you go to the Finder, navigate to the volume and folder that you have installed NeoOffice in, and right-click or Control-click on the volume? In the popup menu that appears, select the Get Info menu and in the window that appears, copy and paste the the "General" section's "Where" and "Version" fields into your next post.

FYI. You may want to ignore my previous post as we just released NeoOffice 3.1.2 today and this new version has many bug fixes that are not in NeoOffice 3.1.1 Patch 2 so I recommend skipping the patch installation and installing the new version.
