Another simple word processing maneuver I can't figure out-- how do I change the spacing on a NeoOffice text document from single to double, or vice-versa?

Again thanks to the pooled (or singular) wisdom of trinity!

Select the text (if it's already there), go to Format::Paragraph and there you get to choose the line spacing within paragraphs, and als the line spacing between paragraphs.

You can also add buttons for some of the most common line spacing settings. Click the triangle at the right hand end of your formatting toolbar and put your mouse over Visible Buttons in the menu which appears. A sub menu listing the possible buttons will appear which includes line spacing buttons. Click on any given button to toggle whether it appears on your toolbar or not.

Thanks, James. However, buttons for spacing are not offered as options on the "visible spacebar" menu on my toolbar.

You may by clicking on the wrong toolbar. Are you clicking on the Visible Buttons menu for toolbar containing the bold, italic, and underline buttons?

Thanks Patrick. No, the "visible buttons" menu I bring up doesn't contain the bold, italic or underline options.

You WERE right, Patrick. I was clicking on the wrong "visible buttons" bar. I did find the correct one, and appreciate your helping me with this. Grazie.
