I have a document that started life as docx file. I made some edits in NeoOffice, and saved it as a .doc file. Now, when the document is displayed in Quicklook, vertical lines appear through the document in places. A screenshot is attached.
When open in Neo and when printing to PDF, the document is fine. If the file is saved to odt format, the lines disappear.
I can PM you sample documents, but I'd rather not post them here. (What I would send you would NOT have any personal/private data in it.) I tried creating a document with Lorem Ipsum text as my sample, but I can't reproduce the problem there.
I'm using Neo 3.3. Patch 3 Test 2, on a MacBook Pro running 10.8.2
This is a minor cosmetic issue, so I understand if you don't have time to address it, but I wanted to report it.
NeoOffice's QuickLook image is generated by running NeoOffice's File :: Export as PDF code when you save. So if you select the File :: Export as PDF menu item, does the resulting PDF have the same lines?
If so, then I suspect that there is some unexpected bevavior in NeoOffice's PDF export code. While I await your reply, I will try to think of the next steps to try.

Ignore my last post. After rereading your post, I now know that this is a Mac OS X bug, not a NeoOffice bug.
NeoOffice only provides a Quicklook plugin of .od* files. For .doc and .docx files, Mac OS X uses Apple's Microsoft Office Quicklook plugin that is bundled with Mac OS X to do Quicklook previews.
