I got another crash, tough I cannot tell what where the cause is. It came about when I had been mucking with getting a small section of a document to landscape and keep the rest on portrait. I then hit 'Undo' lots of times and NeoOffice hung to a spinning beachball briefly and then crashed.

I hope this one is also easy to find.

I cannot reproduce the crash you see but what I do see in the crash log is that the crash is occurring in NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code's index entry management code.

Do you remember if you were adding, modifying, or removing indexed lists in your document?

Do you think that the crash that you saw might be this OpenOffice.org bug?

I remember you were using a Writer document with images in it when you found this crashing bug so I am hoping that maybe you remember if any of the content changes that were being undone immediately before the crash occurred are similar to the that OpenOffice.org bug.

Edit by pluby: I have backported the fix the OpenOffice.org bug listed above in the following test patch:

Intel:

Quite possibly. I have both pictures and cross references in that document.

I also noticed that if I cut and paste a section of text where a cross reference points, the reference is lost and gives and error. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. The error is annoying but not lethal.

Anyway, I'll install the test patch and let you know how it goes Smile.

FYI. If you had displayed the native print or page setup dialogs shortly before the crash occurred, then this crash might have been caused by the same bug that I fixed in this forum post.
