A minor appearance issue. The "Reset Help Agent" button in Tools->Options->NeoOffice->General is too small for the text label. This occurs in NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 9 Test 8.

I have fixed this bug in the following test patches. Fortunately for us, NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code already had code that tries to resize that button to fit its text so the only fix that I needed to make was to add a few pixels of padding to the width that the OpenOffice.org code calculates:

I didn't notice any difference in NO 2013 test 10 from NO 2013 test 8. Both of them appeared to have corrected the too small button Andy pointed out.

I did notice another set of buttons with drop down menus that are slightly too small.

In Preferences: NeoOffice: Appearances the buttons in the Color Setting column are clipping the text. It is not the button so much as the arrow.

Unfortunately, it is very common for listboxes to be sized very narrowly. My rough estimate is that about half of the listboxes that NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code are sized too small to display the selected item.

From what I can see, many listboxes and comboboxes are sized to fit only the average length of the dropdowns entries and then, when pressed, the dropdown is sized to fit the longest item length.

I wondered about that and it's not a problem. Like you said, when clicked on they are sized correctly.

FYI. I have included the fix for this bug in NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 10. The patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.

Just to confirm, I've installed NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 10 and can confirm that it fixes the problem with the Reset Help Agent button.

Cheers,

Andy
