PostPosted: Wed Mar 01, 2017 2:41 pm    Post subject: NeoOffice 2015.12 Classic Edition released Reply with quote

We have released NeoOffice 2015.12 Classic Edition. This version of NeoOffice fixes the following bugs:
  • NeoOffice would crash if you started printing a document and then immediately closed the document before the print job finished
  • When running NeoOffice on macOS Sierra, NeoOffice would crash when printing documents that contain EPS images
  • NeoOffice would freeze during installation of any OpenOffice extensions that use Java AWT classes
If you already purchased NeoOffice Classic Edition within the last year, you can upgrade to NeoOffice 2015.12 Classic Edition for free. If you are currently using NeoOffice 3.4.1 or earlier and you expect to upgrade to Apple's OS X El Capitan or macOS Sierra in the near future, we recommend that you upgrade to NeoOffice 2015.12 Classic Edition.

If you are currently using the Mac App Store version of NeoOffice, you do not need to purchase NeoOffice 2015.12 Classic Edition as you will receive the fix for these bugs through a free update from the Mac App Store. We estimate that the update will be available in Apple's Mac App Store sometime in the next 24 hours.

We have released NeoOffice 2017 Beta Professional Edition. While previous versions of NeoOffice were based on the OpenOffice code, NeoOffice 2017 Beta Professional Edition is based on the LibreOffice 4.4 code. For more details about what changes are in NeoOffice 2017 Beta Professional Edition, see this NeoWiki article.

If you are running macOS Sierra, you can download NeoOffice 2017 Beta Professional Edition. Please note that NeoOffice 2017 Beta Professional Edition is not a production release and will likely have many undiscovered bugs. If you are not comfortable using unstable software, we recommend that you download NeoOffice 2015.12 Classic Edition which is our most stable version.

We have released NeoOffice Invoice 1.2 in the Mac App Store. NeoOffice Invoice is an easy to use app that helps you quickly create invoices for billing your customers.

This version fixes stretched text and images when printing to A4 paper. This version also fixes garbled text when printing invoices on macOS High Sierra.

Important note for non-English users: while this version supports the currency and number formatting used in most countries, all invoices use U.S. English text.

If you already purchased NeoOffice in the Mac App Store and you are running macOS Sierra or higher, you can upgrade to NeoOffice Invoice 1.2 for free. To upgrade, launch the App Store application, select the Store > Sign In menu item, login using your Apple iTunes account, click on the "Purchased" icon, and press the "Install" or "Upgrade" button to the right of NeoOffice Invoice.

PostPosted: Thu Aug 17, 2017 7:34 pm    Post subject: NeoOffice 2017 Professional Edition released Reply with quote

We have released NeoOffice 2017 Professional Edition. This version is a new version of NeoOffice that is based on LibreOffice. While previous versions of NeoOffice were based on the OpenOffice code, NeoOffice 2017 is based on the LibreOffice 4.4 code.

We switched to the LibreOffice 4.4 code because the LibreOffice code is able to open and save Microsoft Office .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx documents with fewer errors than the OpenOffice code.

If you already purchased NeoOffice Professional Edition or NeoOffice Classic Edition within the last year, you can upgrade to NeoOffice 2017 Professional Edition for free. If you are currently using NeoOffice 2015 or earlier and you expect to upgrade to Apple's macOS High Sierra in the near future, we recommend that you upgrade to NeoOffice 2017 Professional Edition.

If you are currently using the Mac App Store version of NeoOffice, you do not need to purchase NeoOffice 2017 Professional Edition as you will receive same new features through a free update from the Mac App Store. We estimate that the update will be available in Apple's Mac App Store sometime in the next 24 hours.

NeoOffice 2017 is based on the LibreOffice 4.4 code. Because earlier versions of NeoOffice were based on the much older OpenOffice 3.1.1 code, many users have found that NeoOffice behaves differently after upgrading to NeoOffice 2017.

To help simplify upgrading to NeoOffice 2017, we have created a list of the most common LibreOffice 4.4 changes and any known workarounds in the NeoOffice 2017 Upgrade Issues NeoWiki article.

The above article currently contains workarounds for the following LibreOffice 4.4 changes:Other NeoOffice problems? Try these steps:
