|
I recently downloaded and inatalled neooffice/J on my OSX machine.
Most things are fine, ocasionaly it crashes, on reopening fortunatly it would open the last document so it wouldn't be lost.
Also it takes much longer to start than MS office. I tried dowloading and installing patch NeoOfficeJ-1.1_Beta-Patch-5.dmg but it said it couldn't be instlled on this HD. Is this the worng patch? HELP |

Did you download the NeoOffice/J 1.1 Beta or an older version?
Do you have enough free space on your harddisk to install the patch?

One more question: did you move your Neo/J installation out of the /Applications folder? The patch installer only searches the /Applications folder so if you moved Neo/J, move it into the /Applications folder, run the patch installer, and then move it back to whereever you had it before.

Which version is shown in the About-box of NeoOffice? If it is "NeoOffice 1.1 Beta Patch 5", you have the newest version and there is no need to patch.

Thanks for the info. I have used neooffice for certain files instead of
MS office X and have gotten used to the start up being slower. |
