Before I post this as a bug, I'd like to know whether anyone else experiences overly enthusiastic, even unceasing scrolling? For example, in a long Writer document, if I click near the bottom of the scrollbar, the document will scroll at least two and sometimes 3, 4, or 5 pages, or all the way to the end. If I click just below the thumb (or within 1 thumb's depth of the thumb), I consistently get the expected behavior of scrolling one screen page.
In a Writer document, if I click and hold for more than half a second on the up- or down-arrow, the arrow control remains depressed and the document continues scrolling to the top or bottom of the document and I can't find a way to stop it. When it reaches the top or bottom, the arrow button pops out again.
Neither of these behaviors appears in Calc documents. Both appear on my home and office machines (both Patch 5 under 10.3.8). But both machines have Logitech mouse drivers installed, so I can't eliminate that as a factor. _________________ Gib Henry |
