Hello,

I've created a PDF-file of a Powerpoint-Presentation (Patrick, it's the hdipräs.ppt, I've mailed you) with the printtest5-patch and found out that the slides are cut at the top. At the right, upper corner should be displayed "HDI". I've a hardcopy here: http://schlesi.is-a-geek.org:8080/NeoOffice/Temp/neopdf

I'm not sure, if this is a problem of NeoOffice/J or the PDF-output-module of OS X. FYI: I'm using OS X 10.2.6.

Thomas,

The problem appears to be that in the Format->Page dialog, you have set the paper size to a custom size of 7.5 x 10 inches with 0 inch margins. This causes OOo to try to resize your slides to that format even if the printer paper is larger.

To get your slides to layout properly, you need to make the paper setting in the Format->Page dialog match your printer paper size. For example, I set the page size to "Letter" (the paper size in my printer), and it prints properly centered.

I've found in OOo X11 that many files imported from MS Word have weird margin issues, mainly with files getting cut off at the top. I find that simply redeclaring the margins usually helps. OOo doesn't always show the wacky margins, but re-entering them helps. I guess NeoJ inherited that issue.

Apricot, that's a 1.0 codebase issue AFAIK. 1.1 partially fixes this from my anecdotal experience but as ever YMMV.
