|
Using Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" installed as an upgrade over 10.3.8 with Neo/J 1.1 beta already installed.
When attempting to install Patch 3 on Beta 1.1, the installer showed a red exclamation mark on my disk drive. Clicking on the drive produced the error:
You cannot install NeoOffice J 1.1 Release Candidate patch 3 on this volume. Could not find specified message for index 16. |

What output is in Console.app? All of the script commands in the Neo/J installers are logged to the system console so you should be able to see which command or commands are failing. |

I upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4 Retail and was able to successfully install the RC Patch 3 on the upgraded partition. (had installed patch-2 only prior to upgrading OS x)

Sorry, This was MY mistake.
I installed Tiger on my older 400 MHz iMac first and still had 1.1 "BETA" there rather than release candidate.
After installing RC, the patch 3 installation went cleanly.
There error message could have been more descriptive, however. |
