Neo/J patch 8 on osx 10.3.9, with Hebrew UI- Notice these two bugs:

* The title for the stylist is in German.
* In the selected menu option (Display-tranparency) there are question marks instead of two (non-identical) characters.

Where is the best place to report this?

These are OpenOffice.org bugs. Both cases are due to incomplete translations or garbage characters. A similar situation exists for Arabic where a bunch of menu items are in English.

BTW, how is it that your Dock menu screenshot actually has the … in the items that cause a dialogue to appear ("from template" and "open document")? Did you edit those strings manually or is the Hebrew translation the only one that gets it right? Smile

Your guess is correct. The Hebrew localizations for OOo have the "...".

We need a little smiley for "beats head into wall" here. Oh, OOo Rolling Eyes

Since none of the people complaining about the missing elipsis in those items (apparently) ever reported the bug to OOo, I reported IZ 50784 about the problem (because, you know, I like reporting bugs that will never get fixed Smile)

Never say never. The OpenOffice.org 2.0 codeline (at least in English) has the elipsis Smile

Reporting a bug is always a winning attitude and this is one of the reasons I like you Razz

That's good to know. And there's acutally been some action on my bug already, which is a pleasant change of pace Smile Perhaps it will be fixed in 1.1.5, too?

Thanks. Smile And since the wiki's down, I'll get back to mapping those characters....
