Error loading alerts

Greetings:

Not sure whether this is an actual bug or a self-induced one or or one specific to NeoOffice.

I was in the process or extending the number of listed files in the file menu via:

"...\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu."

and changing as mentioned the OOo mail list:

Now, once and a while while manually saving documents (it doesn't seem to happen with auto save) I get the following alert:

Error loading BASIC of document file:///Users/jimwg/Library/NeoOfficeJ-1.1/user/basic/dialog.xlc/:
General Error.
General input/output error.

I just click okay and it merrily saves the document, so it's not a functionally crippling or fatal thing.

Maybe this is related or not, just throwing this in but please don't chase any red herrings, but I had to previously change permissions of NeoOffice's backup folder to read and write when NeoOffice alerted me that my backup wasn't being saved. This happened shortly after using Onyx to do the full permissions and Unix checkups for the first time. If it means anything.
