While using Neo/J to update some drawing I did in Star/OpenOffice I noticed two additional bugs.

1. When holding Shift to draw a line, it did NOT enforce perfectly vertical or horizontal lines.

2. Hovering over an object shows a "hand" rather than a crosshair indicating that I can move the object.

4. Still painfully slow when I select menus or objects compared to OO on my iMac DV 400. Clicking on an object may result in the "handles" showing up 2 seconds later. Dragging an object may take 1-2 seconds for the shadow image to follow the cursor.

4. Also painfully slow (as you've pointed out with your XOR routines) on drawing and switching between multiple slides. Make Neo/J unusable for drawing. Back to OO for me.

Jim,

I found that the Shift-and-drag problem was a bug. The fix will be in the next patch.

As for the performance, all that I can say is that this is really very knew code. It will get optimized with time. It just seems like forever because I only have so much spare time to devote to this project and right now I am swamped with getting all of the printing bugs fixed. But, over time, hopefully more developers and testers will volunteer their time and things will speed up.

In the meantime, I would hope that you keep up the testing efforts as testing is a extremely important part of the development process. Waiting until the software is theoretically perfect is really too late to start testing.
