hi,
after a crash of NeoOffice i found a file named Berend_Ilko_Tom_Stella_Volker.stc in my Home folder. It containes the data of the table I was working with.

how the crash occured:
selecting data in a table, insert diagram, change properties and size of diagram, NeoOffice freeze. I quit with command-option-esc.

I guess that's a kind of emergency file, but i'd like to know about it. any idea?

thanks

Don't know about this but it does look like German names. Maybe this is the default name for a file saved when a crash happens.

If you can repeat this, please file a BugZilla by following the link at the left side of the page.

Sorry, can't get that file again. I caused NeoOffice to freeze two times by changing diagramm properties, but can't reproduce that. It's still too stable Wink

These names would rather sound scandinavian to me. Also I found them as authors in OOo forums. That's why I supposed it could be an emergency file. Just a guess.

I give up on that now. If something similiar happens again, i'll post it here.

Actually, Berend seems Dutch to me. It is at least a known, if uncommon Dutch name. Volker is also known here, but very rare, and more often with an F. Stella and Ilko are not traditionally Dutch, but these days any name from anywhere can be found here. And probably elsewhere in Europe.

Usually after a crash, OOo and Neo will leave around files that either start with "sv" or ".sv"...generally those are the temp files. I've never seen it leave me things in Dutch or with subliminal messages in the filenames, but then again it does use a lot of obscene C++ templates so who really knows...
