Ah. This was the missing information. When hi_RAM talked "updating", I thought he was talking about the Check for Updates button.

Does this problem occur in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 or your Go-oo build?

Yes, the problem occurs in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 on PowerPC as well so this is an OpenOffice.org bug.

While we normally do not fix OpenOffice.org bugs OpenOffice.org, this affects PowerPC machines which OpenOffice.org does not support so I have opened bug 3475 so we can try to determine the cause of this bug and fix it.

I think that I have fixed this OpenOffice.org bug and I have posted links to a test patch in my last post in bug 3475.

Can you copy the applicable link in that bug into your web browser to download the patch, install it, and tell us if the bug is fixed for you?
