Dear Wiki Elves,

I was wondering if it might be possible to make two templates that can be added to wiki pages and section to indicate that the advice is

- Specific to NeoOffice
- Applicable to OOo and derivatives in general

Perhaps with a little button that is either half OOo and half Neo icon, or one that is the Neo logo only. With a link to the relevant wiki part that describes this.

Is this something that seems interesting?

Best wishes,
Oscar

Leaving aside the question of whether or not this is something we want to do and the manpower for doing it, off the top of my head there are two issues with stuff that is "generally applicable" to OOo:

1) Taking the Editing Default Styles and Using Templates article as an example, there are lots of embedded NeoOffice-specific paths that are critical points in the hint. It's bad enough that we need to list Neo 3 paths and Neo 2.2.x paths (while both are still supported), but adding paths for OOo version(s) will make things even worse.

2) Keyboard shortcuts: Most OOo users are going to be using a non-Mac version, which means the Cmd key is Ctrl, Opt is Alt, Ctrl is ..., and the wiki really isn't equipped to deal with that. There are also even some cases where Patrick has gotten working a particular command that conflicted with a reserved shortcut, and cases where both programs have gotten it working, but with different shortcuts.
