NeoOffice crases when pasting web page into Writer. Here is the link:

Thank you for the link and the crash log. I can reproduce the crashing when I copy the entire left column on that website.

I will investigate this bug and once I find the cause and I have a fix, I will post a test patch for you to try. Hopefully I will have a fix within the next couple of days but if I don't, I will let you any news I have at that point.

I think that I have fixed this bug. I found that the bug is due to some code modifications made by Novell's Go-oo engineers and so I have fixed the bug by removing their code modifications and using the unmodified OpenOffice.org code.

Can you install the following test patch and tell us if the bug is fixed for you?:

FYI,

I ran into this bug today myself. The test patch fixed it.

I did keep the crash report, but I assume you don't need it, since the test patch took care of it.

FYI. The fix for this bug has been included in NeoOffice 3.1.2 which can download it from the NeoOffice download page.
