I found out a feature of NeoOffice today that I never knew:
I had some text with tabs in it, and when I selected it and chose 'insert new table' by accident, it put the selected text into a table, using the tabs to put the text in different columns.
This saved me lots of tedious reformatting, so I was very pleased. I figured I leave it as a tip for others, as well as noting that my expectations were actually exceed with NeoOffice in a place where we mostly talk about problems . _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"

I use this (well, the Tabs<->Table menu items) often when I have pseudo-tabular data I have to reformat.
When I have pseudo-tabular data that I need to get into a spreadsheet, I can do find/replace in Writer to set tabs, run Tabs->Table, and then paste the result into Calc.
Is it really not a well-known feature? If so, would it help to add a brief wiki article about it (or about [re]formatting tabular and pseudo-tabular data in general)?
