While testing some fixes for another bug last weekend, I simulated a first time installation of our Mac App Store version of NeoOffice. When I opened a presentation document with videos, an Open dialog requesting access to the document's linked video files. This I expected. What I didn't expect was that the NeoOffice hung soon after displaying the Open dialog.
I found that this hang was caused by a deadlock in our code. I have fixed this bug and included the fix in the following test patches. Note: the bug only occurs in Mac App Store versions of NeoOffice.
To reproduce this bug, quit NeoOffice and clear all of NeoOffice's cached naitve settings by executing the following Terminal command:
Then, launch NeoOffice and open a presentation document with videos. Without the test patch, NeoOffice will hang in the first Open dialog that appears:
