I saw this on macintouch.com today.

NeoOffice is a Mac-native version, from Planamesa Inc., of the OpenOffice software suite. It can create and edit spreadsheets, word processing documents and presentations, offering file compatibility with most Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents, along with Mac-native features (e.g. text highlighting, floating tool palettes, file locking, full-screen mode, Services support, etc.). NeoOffice 3.4.1 Patch 3 can be downloaded for Mac OS X 10.6 and up by users who pay $10.
NeoOffice 2013.1 is the $9.99 Mac App Store version for OS X 10.8 and up; it is sandboxed, does not include the Media Browser, will not accept third-party extensions that use Java or Python, cannot open Tables in existing Base databases that use the HSQLDB format, and cannot open reports in existing Base databases.
(LibreOffice, a free alternative, offers word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, a drawing application that does 3D, and a database front-end.)

They normally seem pretty good at getting press releases out in a timely and accurate manner, but the second half of this seems to be from last year!

Essentially, it is just another LibreOffice marketing announcement. I find it flattering that they consider NeoOffice to be a competitor of LibreOffice.

Too bad they couldn't fact check NeoOffice's version and price before releasing their announcement. It just makes Macintouch's staff look sloppy.
