Export a presentation to PDF (Using the NeoOffice Export to PDF menu) that contains Sun specific fonts that are NOT installed on my machine and display as "Times" in presenter tool.

Export succeeded OK.

Open the document in Acroread on OS X 10.3.6 and receive an error "Could not find font in resource directory. Using Helvetica instead."

However a text was invisible. No substituiton occurred

Exported file was 664 KB in size.

Export the same document using the OS X "Save as PDF" feature. The file is now 24 MegaBytes!. But all text displays in Times font.

Funny, I posted the same issue only five minutes earlier here.

Except that I could read the text but it was badly spaced and I couldn't select any text. I was using Acrobat Pro 6.0.0. Same issue with the size of the OSX version.

Methinks Patrick may have been a wee overenthousiastic in his optimizations Smile. The enthousiasm is appreciated nonetheless, of course.
