I'm trying to install some new fonts (does anyone know where to get StarMath?), and I don't know how to implement them into NeoOffice/j. Can anyone help?

Just add your fonts to your Library/Fonts folder, or your user's Library/Fonts folder and the next time you start Neo/J, the fonts will be available.

Neo/J behaves just like any other normal Mac app with respect to fonts...no conversion or special private folders required like with OOo Smile

I'm not sure about StarMath (never heard of it), but OpenSymbol should be included with NeoJ and should be able to handle most of the formula symbols.

Generally, to add in new fonts you want to try to see if you can get Mac fonts to install like other regular Mac fonts using Font Book or or other favorite approach (e.g. dragging into Library/Fonts). NeoJ also does support adding in ".ttf" files into /Applications/NeoOfficeJ.app/Contents/MacOS/share/fonts/truetype if I recall correctly but those fonts will only be available for NeoJ and may not fully render properly in PDF files or printouts.

Hey, thanks for the help. I have another font question. I'm trying to imitate the fonts used in Latex for formulas and successfully applied some truetype fonts used for variables. However, I still need to change some of the special operator symbols (such as integrals). In Format->fonts I changed the variable font, but when I change the operator font it seems to have no effect. I have also tried to create a custom symbol using tools->catalog, but that doesn't seem to let me add a custum symbol. can anyone help with this?
