Has anyone tried installing and running the latest NeoJ release Panther?
I remember someone at WWDC installing NeoJ 0.0 on the first preview release of Panther (and it actually worked!) but I have not heard if NeoJ works on the latest cut of Panther.

Patrick,
I've seen running NeoOffice/J 0.7 on Panther 7B85.

I just started using NeoOffice on Panther. I am happy to report that so far everything checks out. I am so glad to have found NeoOffice. Great work!

Oh yes, it works and well I might add. The toned down style of panthers gui actually fits much better into the Neo grey than Jaguar did.
Btw. there's a list of the 1.4.1 bugs fixed in the panther java release on the apple developer site. Nothing massive from what I saw, just a few rough edges. |

I'm running Panther with an installation of NeoOffice/J I made BEFORE upgrading.
I don't see any significant difference. Just sometimes NO/J stays open and refuses to close (then I have to force quit it).
It didn't happen to me in Jaguar.

Panther is playing very well with NeoJ so far. No (new) glitches that I can see. Isn't Java 1.4.2 supposed to be out soon? We'll see how that upgrade goes...

FYI. Java 1.4.2 should have no affect on NeoJ. NeoJ (as well as OOo) specifically load Java 1.3.1.

It seems to work well, but I cannot get the keyboard to change from US to anything else (Russian, Japanese, Chinese, etd). Have I missed a setting somewhere? |

Someone else (I cannot remember where) was having this same problem. Does the keyboard option (i.e. the flag) disappear from the system menubar? Or is it there but you cannot change it?
I think that this might be caused by a hack that I have in the Java code that might be causing this. I will see if I can disable it in the next test patch so that we can determine if my hack is the problem.

The flag just stays as US, trying to select another one has no effect.
The palette for special characters seems to work fine. |
