This people (kids?) become an serious annoyance for the open-source-community.
Instead of spending their time to improve the software, the developers are forced to spend their time to restore their hacked servers and checking the sources on manipulation and security issues.
Even in the Linux-kernel was found some manipulated source code and the Gentoo-RSync-servers were hacked, too.
This hackers should better spend their time and abilities for improving open source software or writing some new cool, instead of obstructing open source.

Was it ever determined if the hacker manipulated the source code at all? Or was the damage restriced to changing info on the web site? |

I've had problems registering (didn't get the click back authorizing email twice), and now I'm getting spam from an ebay knockoff attempting to steal ebay passwords on a formerly spam free email account.

Could this be one of the changes...

Glenn,
Are you registering from a corporate e-mail account? If so, the problem might be that your company is filtering out the return e-mail as spam. Some Trinity users have reported this as a problem.

It's a corporate domain name that I co-own, and we don't have spam filtering on.
Would it be possible to try a test registration?
thanks,

I tried creating a new account with a yahoo.com e-mail address and no mail has shown up.
My guess is that Ed's server is having trouble sending out e-mail. I think that would be worth looking at first before we assume the hacking problem.
I post something in the Fuzkd Servers forum where hopefully Ed might see it.
