Simple question:
Is anyone working on enabling Thunderbird to be selected as the default email program in NeoOffice ? |

The bug is on Thunderbird's end; I filed the relevant bug in mozilla.org's Bugzilla a year or so ago when we got that feature working with the current mail clients, but AFAICT no one at mozilla.org is working on it.
We'll support Tbird (and Mozilla/SeaMonkey) when they finally support adding attachements like other Mac mail clients.

There is work ongoing to enable mailers to work with OpenOffice.org 2.0. However, Thunderbird cannot be invoked using the methods used, at present.

NeoOffice 2.0 Alpha 3 was just released. I've configured it using Tools>Options>Internet to call Thunderbird, which is my default mail client. Using Send, however, doesn't seem to attach the file itself - not as the email nor as a pdf.
I've really just started to look at this. So, if anyone has a different experience, I'd love to hear about it. |

Thunderbird is broken; it has to be fixed. Please see the link in my previous post in this thread (and vote for the bug in Mozilla's bugzilla, or find a developer who can write a patch for Thunderbird).
