Here's a simple answer : keep using NeoOffice 1.x or adapt to the new toolbars. I doubt it's possible to get the old toolbars back. |

Honesty, I think reverting back to the old, flat toolbars would require using bits of OOo 1.x code, although I could be wrong.
Besides, most people, me included, find the old Windows95-ish toolbars far uglier than the current ones ... |

Yaeh, thats a matter of taste. But the look of the toolbars is variable (change the icons, the toolbar style will change too). But thanks for answering! If there is a solution, let me know. |

In theory, at least, the toolbars should be NWF-able so that they don't look like Windows on non-Windows platforms. Even if they aren't (OOo tends to hard-code waaaay too much), I wouldn't find it hard to imagine Ed extending NWF and fixing them at some point in the future so that they grab the toolbar appearance of the version of Mac OS X you're running.

Toolbars are not going to be customized using NMF for the forseeable future as, well, they don't really behave like any of the Cocoa toolbars or the like. Cocoa toolbars are designed to hold very few high quality icons and dont actually correspond to any well-defined Aqua "widget" per se and aren't able to be drawn using HITheme primitives.

Well drat
I thought I remembered at some point some discussion about replacing the "bubble" and grey with pinstripes, but I forget what became of that....
C'est la vie.

Oh, that would just be the backgrounds that I'd be looking at right now since utility window backgrounds can be redrawn. It definitely won't be in there in time for Beta, however, and it's low on my priority list for final I'll have to take a look at Office v.X but itps possible that it might be visually interesting to replace the "sunk"/"selected" look with an imagewell background...but I really do destest using standard UI elements in non-standard ways. From what I remember, Office v.X/2004 invent their own for situations like this.
