Bummer to hear it's still so locked down for everyone...I'd hoped that the digital world would get over that old-time junk by now
While I don't have region-free DVD players, my laptop is set to region 2 so i can watch all my various British DVDs. Watch that they'll take that away too with Blu-ray/HD-DVD/next big thing.

Man, so I was at work until 9PM PST last night after being delayed at the start of my day and missed the first hour and a half of the season 3 premiere (I have East Coast satelite to watch rangers games...guess it finally bit me in the a** ). When is iTS going to post it?!?! I have a full hour of catching up to do, like immediately now!! I'm ready to fork over my money so just let me do so already you silly iTS

So here is another interesting question...
Why didn't they put the set of "The Resistance" webcasts as a special on the DVDs? I thought the entire approx. 30 minute story was pretty good but it blew having to be forced to watch it in a subpar flash player.
If you haven't watched it yet, it's probably a good backstory to see before the season 3 premiere

It's still no excuse for iTS though since there's no replays tonight!
From the 1/3 I've seen, I'm still going back and forth...it really seems to me like they totally switched writing teams after the Kobol storyline ended. Still, the exploration of modern-day topics continues which is both good and bad. The webisodes would've made a nice introductory premiere methinks

Hmm...I recently got an e-mail from them that also recomended something similar to things I've bought in the past. Seems like they're data mining. Sad because I still do buy things from Amazon from time to time so can't put them on my blacklist

Then of course you don't get the commentaries.
You don't get the deleted scenes.
You don't get the 90 minute cut of the Pegasus episode.
etc. |

I agree with this. Really, "splitting" season 2 into not only two DVD sets but also "two" seasons separated by months seems like a pure profit ploy to me.
Who am I to complain. It seems to have worked. I bought it. At least it's not as obvious as George Lucas' neverending pursuit of "art"
This of course will all change once I get my iTV...or am I just falling victim to yet another consumerist ploy?
