If you open Tools :: Options and then select NeoOffice :: Paths, the paths are under "Gallery". Note that the user can change these paths.

~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-2.x/user/template

~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-2.x/user/gallery

At least having to sift through my Preferences folder to root out a corrupted file was good for something! Very Happy

Or are you wondering about the templates & artwork that comes "preloaded?"

the intent is to make a program that 'loads' clip art in such a way that the user doesn't have to then go into neo and open the clip art gallary and 'load' it again.

make sense?

if not, put a few pictures in the gallery folder of neo and then launch neo, you still have to 'load' the images via the gallery menu.

If I understand well, maybe you can try this:
go here
http://www.dmaths.org/documentation/doku.php?id=description:dl
download Install Galerie
Translation:
"This tool will allow you to install easily your galleries. Unzip the archiv, copy your galleries in the folder Galeries then launch install_galerie.sxw"
It's all in French but feel free to ask me if something is not clear.

Jake,
Here is a translation of the installing instructions:

How to:

Create your archiv:
1) Copy the files of the gallery (or several galleries) that you want to give out in the folder Galeries,
2) Create an archiv with the file install_galeries.sxw and the folder Galeries.

Install a gallery:
1) Unzip the archiv: you get a directory which contains the folder Galeries and the file install_galeries.sxw.
2) Open the file install_galeries, accept the macros and click the button « Installer la galerie »;
3) Choose the directory where you want to install the gallery and click OK.

At the end of the process you get a message box saying that the gallery (or galleries) are successfully installed.
You can check a case « Replace the existing files »
Be careful to keep the French name Galeries, otherwise you'll have to edit the macro
Hope that helps you

Jacqueline

so i looked in the pref folders. the files i found were, unfortunatly, not plain text. thus making it probably no possible to do via applescript.

which is a bummer.

they don't look xml... they look binary of some sort. lots of squares and squiggly lines.

what i did was i opened that folder, then i went into neo and made a new clipart section and then saw what files were made. i then tried to open those files in bbedit. no dice. one i could read words, but not the characters that divided them
