Hi,
I'm a newbie here, so go easy
I've been poking around in the different icon archives (images.zip etc) and I've noticed that threre are a great deal of unused windows-oriented icons lying around. why not simply get rid of those icons that NeoOffice dosen't use? This could pontentially reduce the confusion and sheer workload that those building icon sets would face, and could save a little (yes, fairly miniscule) bit of file space in the application.

NeoOffice is built on top of OpenOffice.org which presents a platform-independent user interface. As a consequence, graphics used for even a single platform must be defined for all others.

Welcome to NeoOffice John, We are glad that you stopped by.
Said another way, NeoOffice is built upon OpenOffice.org. Trying to change that underlying base could lead to many support problems in the future. The reward would be very small, the risk of problems large, and the use of very limited resources (the developers time!) too great.
Scarce resources and support problems greatly limit the scope of efforts for NeoOffice.
