Oh, whack. Setting my way back machine way way back, Broderbund released a Macintosh port of the original Star Wars arcade game that you can play with a mouse. I've been drooling over it ever since I've fired up the old SE/30 sitting here in my parents' basement starting on Monday I think it requires B&W monitor mode and is definitely 680x0 only tho.

Didn't Ambrosia used to make some games like that? I've never been much of a gamer, but I remember in the System 7 era they were the great shareware game house (and later expanded to other nifty shareware, too). Are they even still around? |

You're probably talking about Escape Velocity and its later incarnations. As I recall, the original Escape Velocity and its sequel were OS 9 only, but Ambrosia did finally bring out an OS X-native version. Other space-related games by Ambrosia that come to mind are Swoop (Galaga clone) and Maelstrom (Asteroids clone). |
