I'm giving this a new topic here so it doesn't confuse the support topics and doesn't get lost elsewhere.
Just a wild, wild stab at the hanging-on-conversion problem: what version of fondu are you distributing with the installer? The one from 2002, the one from Feb 04, or the one from May 04?
I can't remember when I last had the converting-hang--I think it was the 1.1.1 test-installer--but between that one and the RC2 (1.1.2) test-installer, I installed the Feb 04 package.
Just a wild thought.
Edit: Ah, crud. I searched and it seems I was getting the hanging on RC2, which was after my installation of the Feb foundu.... So there goes my theory...it was wild, after all

The version that is in teh installer is the 2002 version, IIRC. Usually I don't upgrade the versions of the applications that are used by the installer unless there's a compelling reason. Last time I was toying around with fondu their packages weren't available for download, but I think that's fixed now.
