I thought about using Qt a while back but never have had the time to poke around at it. I've been pretty much focusing the little time I have on working kinks out of the Cocoa/CoreGraphics stuff since I think in the long term it's really what's needed...and it's also more fun If anyone wants to poke around with Qt on the Mac, I recommend it! It should be possible to leverage a little of the Qt work on the Mac.
The trick with Qt/Mac is licensing. If I recall, the Mac Qt libraries are available under only the open source GPL license. So it's something that you couldn't put into the main OpenOffice.org project, only a GPL spinoff. From what I understand, QPL is not available as a licensing option on OS X (similar to Win32).
