Fake Steve Jobs about putting "Neo" in the name of your product:

Quote:
... and they manage to work "Neo" into the name because let's face it all of these Linux guys like to see themselves as Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix." Right. As if. I'm not sure what applications these guys are making but you just know one of them will be an app that lets you press a special key to speed-dial your mom to come pick you up. (Richard Stallman commanded them to make that one a priority.)

All right, it's about the OpenMoko Neo phone, but still a bit funny, and, somewhat true, isn't it?

Cool

BTW, the fakesteve blog always makes me laugh.

As for the name, Ed claims that it is short for Neolithic. Despite my attempts to get him to admit otherwise, he still holds to that claim. Wink

The "Neo" bit reminds me of a small company that I worked for back in 1998 called NeoVista. Apparently, the director's of the Matrix were the only people who thought "Neo" was a cool name.

Despite those pictures from the last OOoCon I still believe that Ed resembles Keanu Reeves and that "this thing" here isn't just about an office suite for the Mac.

Dude, my kung fu is nowhere near as good as his, and I definitely can't fly except on a plane (but man it'd be fun to do so). I wonder if my music is better than that of his band...word on the street was that Dogstar wasn't really that good Smile

It is quite possible that you can act better than Keanu Reeves does..
