|
Just a point of interest: are there any plans to make the floating toolbars proper Aqua panel windows? (i.e. windows with the small title bar that also disappear when application loses focus)
It wasn't all that long ago the floating toolbars became proper Aqua windows, which is great, but it would be most excellent if they were Aqua panels. |

There are no plans for this. First, Java has no way to create such windows: you get a title bar or you don't. That's it. Second, OOo cannot really deal with windows automatically hiding and showing. OOo expects all requests to close a window to go through its code and it expects to be able to have veto power over all such requests. This alone has caused more than a few crashing bugs in the (fortunately very few) cases when Mac OS X automatically closes a window.
