Note for developers trying to integrate Ximian icons with OOo, regardless of platform: ImageMagick does not appear to support conversion of RGBA Windows BMP formatted files...the output of the ImageMagick "convert" utility discards the alpha channel.

I'm not a graphics person, but I used a combination of GraphicConverter and Icon Composer (on Mac OS X of course) to do the right thing with OOo icons and alpha channels. I don't remember the details though Sad
