My donation failed this month because I got my wallet pickpocketed on Thursday night on the tube in London, so I had to cancel all my credit/debit cards. As soon as I have plastic digital money again, I'll restore the donational equilibrium. Could take a week or two, because we have postal strikes too. Merrie Engelande! Huzzah! Bastards, that was the nicest wallet I ever had, made of hemp and everything... and no bloody velcro - do you have any idea how hard it was to find a (non-peeled-animal) wallet with no velcro? Grmmblegrm...
BTW, I never could find a wallet that I liked so a few years ago so I ended up ditching a wallet altogether. Now I only carry a few keys, coin change, and a few cards (driver's license, credit card, and ATM). They all fit in my front pocket so the cards don't get crunched when you sit down.
I have a little silverplated box, intended for business cards, which can also hold ATM, credit, etc. And I have a small bag I brought from Ecuador for my coins and other loose stuff like a USB key.
Best wishes,

Thanks, chaps - funny thing is, I've just discovered that the people who make my wallet do a model with a chain on it now (and can't spell)... but of course, I can't get one online until I get my new cards. Serves me right - I normally have it in my bag when I'm on the train. Well, no, I suppose it doesn't serve me right, but you know what I mean.
It has been interesting spending a few days without cards, and having stuff spread around my various pockets. You don't know what you're used to until it gets changed. Lucky the bank agreed I was who I said I was and let me withdraw cash. Perversely, I almost feel like a proper Londoner now that I've been pickpocketed - I was born there, but never lost my pocket virginity until now.
Oh, and as to 'string of bad luck' - lovely new girlfriend, quitting my job at the end of this week and moving to the countryside of Somerset, got myself a floor loom and a piano accordion to play with, NeoOffice gets its memory footprint reduced again... pff - wallet?
