|
I have a Kensington Mouse with MouseWorks driver as a 'helper' (although it's not needed for operating the mouse).
But how to I 'right-click'? I want the contextual-menu, but can't seem to get it. 'Click and hold' doesn't seem to work either...
Any ideas? |

Try command-click in Apple X11, or alt-click in OroborOSX. Both these work on my panther setup.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. (On a side note, why isn't that information available anywhere on the internet? (If it is, I couldn't find it).
I should've mentioned that I've tried:
[Option]+Click
[Control]+Click
[Command]+Click
[Shift]+Click
[Option]+[Shift]+Click
[Command]+[Shift]+Click
[Option]+[Command]+[Shift]+Click
(I've also tried using the [Fn] key as I'm using this on a laptop)
Nothing works! I would think there's a preference setting somewhere, but I havne't found one. In addition, I figured I'd be able to find something about this online somewhere, but I haven't found it anywhere.
FWIW, I'm running the following 'extensions' which may interfere:
- MouseWorks
- SideTrack
- PowerMate
I don't know if any of these matter, but I thought I'd indicate it. With MouseWorks, I can change the way the right-click works, and I could assign it. I just changed it for X11 (and Start OpenOffice.org just in case!) too. |

If you're using apple's X11, have you tried the X11 preferences->input checkbox combinations (rather than the Ooo settings)? There's an option there to use modifier keys with the mouse to emulate middle/right mouse clicks.

Thanks! I went to the X11 Preferences window, clicked the [x] Emulate three button mouse setting and it works!
Thanks a gazillion!
