Daniel's latest toolbar icons are included in my download.
But any Neo reference needs to be removed for RetroOffice.

I didn't realise RetroOffice was being updated, but of course that makes sense. I'll make the changes to the Retro images and upload a new package tonight. Hope that's ok.

Yep, I've downloaded and checked. |

That's all right, my Retro package removes all the references that I know of. |

Thanks Daniel. I will download these two files as well as Armando's Akua package and start integrating them into the build today.

Armando,
I noticed that the size of your Akua package nearly doubled and that there is a huge new "images" sudirectory in the package. Previously, you had an images.zip file in the package and that is what I used in the NeoOffice build.
Is that still the case and, if so, can I safely ignore the images subdirectory?
Edit: Or should I use the images subdirectory and ignore the images.zip?

Patrick,
Just ignore the images folder. Use the zip file as always.

I was going through the new icons and the set is getting pretty much near completion. I noticed however, that the Rotate and Reload icons are the same. Now I understand why that could have happened, but since they are so different in function, perhaps an alternative could be found for the Rotate icons? Perhaps inverting it (do the circular arrow in blue, rather than the button) would work? There is also a rotate-related icon elsewhere that has been replaced in a different manner.
Best wishes,

Could you post an image? There are some many icons, some created by me, some by Armando, it's very difficult to see the big picture. |

I sent you an e-mail with an archive of the icons.

Thanks. I see what you mean. I'm sure we can correct this next time around. |

"Akua Elements: the next chapter", or "let's get this thing done." We've got a few more icons to add, some to revise per Oscar's note.
And hello, what's this? 512px and 256px variants of the Finder icons... I've got all 17 of these puppies ready to go.

These look really nice!
Like in the past, we need to wait until the next full new release as we cannot include the images or icon zip files in a patch as the patch becomes way too big. Fortunately, your timing is excellent as Ed and I were discussing just the other day about putting out a 2.2.5 release since we have added remote control support and Patch 4 will have significant performance improvements.
Also, doing a 2.2.5 release would allow us to upgrade our Office 2007 import/export code to the latest odf-converter release. A new odf-converter release is also difficult to put into a patch so putting out NeoOffice 2.2.5 would allow us to upgrade a couple things in one fell swoop.
I have to do some more testing of the latest odf-converter code, but if it doesn't have any obvious regressions or new bugs, we could put out NeoOffice 2.2.5 in early September. Could you have your icon changes done before the end of August?

These Finder icon updates are done already. Let's see what we can do with the toolbar set.
I've pm'ed Armando. I'm sure I can add a few icons at least, but if Armando isn't too busy we might get quite a bit done. |
