Text Document Application:
Type Anywhere!
Years ago when I used WordPerfect 10 - 12, a favorite feature was that you could "click" anywhere in a document and start typing. Wherever you clicked, the mouse cursor would be active, allowing you to start typing anywhere on the page. This was a terrific feature for putting text wherever you needed it without having to repeatedly use the 'return and tab' key to move down across the page.
Would any one of the many proficient programmers out there be willing to look into developing this feature for NeoOffice - Text Document? |

Go to View > Toolbars > Tools
In the toolbar which appears, you'll see an icon which shows a cursor: click on it to get the "Direct Cursor". You can set some options in
NeoOffice > Preferences > NeoOffice Writer > Formatting Aids
See Direct Cursor in NeoOffice Help.

Moved to NeoOffice Support and removed the poll.
That's a neat tip; I didn't know about direct cursor! |
