I had never heard of Growl until now and I am confused as to what features NeoOffice would have if we were able to integrate with Growl. Can you explain to us what features Growl would add to NeoOffice?

I think the difference is that Neo doesnt' really perform any notifications to the user...Adium and the others have things like "message received" or "person online", but Neo doesn't really do anything like that.
Do you have any suggestions as to what notifications specifically you'd like to manage? The "patch update" check comes to my own mind, but unfortunately that's an OOo component that we can't really integrate with other frameworks at this time.
