I just came across Dictionary Cleaner, a prefpane for editing OSX dictionary user additions.
It made me wonder if something like that could be put together that integrated with NeoOffice and would edit user lists for dictionaries that are NeoOffice-specific (i.e. the standard.dic for installed Neo dictionaries in languages that aren't installed in OSX) as opposed to (or as well as?) the OSX dictionaries that NeoOffice is using.
Is this feasible? Would anyone apart from me want it?

How does this differ from what's found at Tools :: Options :: Language Settings :: Writing Aids? I edit my standard dictionary there.

Well, it differs in that you know what you're talking about, and I don't - I'd never come across that function before.
End of story...

No worries. It is something that I happened to learn about in the recent past. There are many more features that I am not aware of yet.

I think the last time I tried to edit a word list was back in v1.xx, and I remember it being very 'manual' then. I'm really glad they've incorporated a proper way to do this.
I do think the Dictionary Cleaner prefpane is great for all the OSX dictionary stuff, and in some ways an easier interface to use than the OOo/Neo one. Not having seen how the OOo/Neo one works, I thought the prefpane was a good model if one were needed.
