Hm, those funny coloured dots don't really fit do they. The reflection of OpenOffice.org seems wrong too, partially hidden under the progress bar!
But, who know - the product itself might be good. Although it is slow... and not as pretty as Neo...with less functionality (other than the few extras OOo3 adds)...nope! I don't think I need to keep it installed!

I checked their Issuezilla and they have about two dozen P1 and P2 bugs left in the 3.0.x targetted list. The rest is a lot of localisation fixes, something called GCF (grammer something) and assorted things that seem unlikely to stop the shipping of corporate product..
So it looks like they will get it done by OOocon in the first week of November.
And so comes the next question: Patrick, have you got it running with the NeoOffice code yet ?
Best wishes,

Samwise and I have been working slowly through the upgrade. So far, we have OpenOffice.org with the latest Novell ooo-build patches building and running. However, once we found several crashing bugs in OOo 3.0 Beta 2, we put splicing in the NeoOffice custom code (the code that makes NeoOffice faster than OpenOffice.org) on the back burner and moved NeoOffice 2.2.5 to the front of my priority list.
After NeoOffice 2.2.5 is out, I'll be devoting most of my time to working on NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access. Let's hope that OpenOffice.org resolves any crashing bugs before their final release goes out before OOoCon.
