GPL v3. Since OpenOffice.org 3.0's license is LGPL v3, we must switch to GPL v3 to be compliant with their license.

None that either Ed or I see. Are there concerns that you think we should look at?

no, not from my understanding. i was just curious since there is all of this debate about the two licenses if in this case there were any issues.
so, novell's changes and the wp importer, etc etc, have all followed suite? (or have compatible licenses?) |

Like NeoOffice, Novell's ooo-build code adds onto Sun's OOo code so they had to upgrade from LGPL v2 to LGPL v3. The various importers that Novell pulls into their build always used different licenses but those were OSI licenses that were compatible with both versions of LGPL and once it is compatible with either version of LGPL, it is also compatible with the matching GPL version since both LGPL versions have a clause that allows you to use the GPL.

I talked with Eric Bachard on MacGeneration who told me that Go-oo 3.0 will be based on OpenOffice.org Aqua. |

go-oo.org (which is what the same thing as Novell's ooo-build code in my previous post) has already switched their license in their development builds and so we have already changed the license in our NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access code to GPL v3 to be compliant with OOo's and go-oo.org's 3.0 LGPL v3 license.
