|
Installed, it seems to work fine: many bugs are gone away. I have some bugs to report but http://bugzilla.neooffice.org/ seems do not work at the moment.
The big one is about drag and drop in calc. Drag and dropping a cell *copy* the cell instead move it. Drag and dropping the content of a cell do to work outside the cell (instead copy it). After a drag and drop the cursor still remain a hand, and the cell I copied something to, remain "dirty" up and down (a black border). When I make another drag and drop, neoffice shows me the last cell I drag and drop before with a black border.
D&d seems to work fine in writer and in database report section.

Woohoo! Drag and Drop... and it just works
However, I've just experienced a spinning beach ball while trying to drag some text around in Writer. A bad side effect of this was that I couldn't click on anything in the Dock. Command-tabbing still worked so I was able to run a sample soffice.bin 15 and a top -u in my open Terminal window prior to killing the soffice.bin process (the Dock came back to life after that). I'll post a bug report with the attached sample when Bugzilla comes back online (unless you want me to e-mail it to you Patrick).
I take it that this is just drag and drop within the app itself - I wasn't able to drag an image from the desktop to the open NO/J window? _________________ PBG4, 1.5GHz, SuperDrive, 1GB RAM, 128MB VRAM, 5400rpm 80GB HD, MacOS X 10.4.5

It's a reproducible freeze:
Generate an e-mail address in Writer, check that NO/J is recognising that it is an e-mail by hovering the mouse over it (mouse should change to a pointing finger icon), then highlight the address and try to drag it. Instant beachball freeze with an inactive Dock as the side effect.
Have Activity monitor open or command-option escape to kill the frozen NO/J to get out of it. If you prefer the Terminal, kill <process ID> is enough, no need for -9. _________________ PBG4, 1.5GHz, SuperDrive, 1GB RAM, 128MB VRAM, 5400rpm 80GB HD, MacOS X 10.4.5

Did this patch not merit the patch announcement list, or has the list been discontinued in favor of Neo/J's built-in check?
I've been working all day (not in Neo/J) and finally stopped by here and saw the drag-drop patch had arrived, but I never got the patch release email....

I found other bugs I'll report in bugzilla, and I got some strange crash today using neooffice. If pluby have interest I can copy and paste the console report.

I was too tired to send out the e-mail and do the posting last night. I'm glad that I did not when I saw this forum topic this morning.

Please wait until I post "Patch-7" later today. I had to make lots of changes to my code to fix the deadlocking issue.

These bugs are now fixed in "Patch-8" which I just posted to the Neo/J patch download page:
