The ship icon will remain at 256 x 256 as that is the resolution of the underlying artwork that the volunteer graphic artists created. However, in both NeoOffice 2.2.5 and NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access, all of the other NeoOffice Finder icons are 512 x 512 as IIRC their underlying artwork was vector based.

IIRC the problem was the globe; I think the ship itself exists at a larger size (and maybe is even done in Illustrator), but the globe does not. Dan (foxcorner) tried to blow up the existing 256x256 globe, but the result wasn't pretty. He was going to work on redoing the globe once he got a new Mac (his died in the middle of our last conversation).
At any rate, Dan was working on it, so we might yet see a 512x512 version, but it's not in 3.0 EA, and it's not ready yet.

Why not to modernize the boat, if moving to new version? Like this:
(There are not my artwork but color gamma is almost the same)

Doesn't have quite the same nostalgic intrepid explorer feel to it...

I think that is the ship that runs on Windows.
The Neo ship could easily take it out when it blue screens. |
